I have been spending about an hour a day every evening putting in the lower level grades to reach the storage yards. I need to make one section removable as reaching into the small gap to lay 3 turnouts may be a little bit hopeful! Working out 3%s in my head which is the grade that I need is also getting challenging and hopefully it is all going to work out when I reach the storage yard. I’ve made the initial curved section as slightly less than 3% as the curve adds an extra pull and increases the effective grade.
