It’s been a glorious weekend with real genuine sunshine so the garden and visitors beckoned. During the week I got on with the shingles. Bob Van Gelder says to allow 6 hours for the roof but when spread out over a number evenings it soon passes. This is where I have got to after about 3-4 hours:

I used a glue tape that Foscale sell which is pure glue. It really does work well and makes it so easy. You stick it on to the roof and then lay the shingles. The glue is sticky for days so you can take your time. The white shingles are home made because there are different sizes on the actual roofs. I will colour them grey when I’m done. They’ve come out quite wonky so I’m in two minds. The paper is a bit lighter weight than the laser cut shingles so they wobble a bit rather than going down in straight lines. I might re do them…
