I spent the whole of last weekend at the Warley show at the NEC on the NMRA stand. They normally have around 18,000 visitors and it is great to spend so much time at a show. We set up on the Friday night and finished on the Sunday.
There are two layouts I liked – one which was a small loco shop and another one that was a really unusual shape – very deep:
This is the NMRA stand. Steve Scott, Nigel Bowyer and myself put it together with help from loads of people on the days at Warley:
Back at the layout… it’s been fairly busy at work doing a secondment to a full-time job plus my original full-time job…
One thing Nigel and I spent a lot of time at Warley doing was talking to the Fremo group. We are thinking of doing an On30 Fremo group for our local NMRA group. There are some real plus points so we’ll see how it goes. I came home and looked at all my On30 stock and was really embarassed so I am going to have to do something – hopefully based on the Argent as I love the swamp rats.
