So much to do…

I have been busy on the Stryker but as it’s not railroads, I won’t post too much here. It’s also been a busy few weeks from a meets point of view with the NMRA Convention last week and Slim Gauge Circle today.

I’m helping organise next year’s NMRA BR Convention so check out the website for more information.

I finally finished my Thomas Yorke Bordello which I took to the Slim Gauge meet today. I only had a rusty chimney to add but that took a month. I will post some final photos when I get round to taking them…

So now I’m thinking, what next? My FremOn30 modules are pretty much top of the list after the Stryker but I do have a lot of half done projects to finish. A lot of them were started but went on hold for various reasons:

Sound in an On30 Consolidation – I bust the PC board in the loco so had to order a new one from Bachmann in the US…

Sound in another On30 loco – I think a 2-6-0 – but it’s such a long time since I started it that I can’t remember.

Busted step on an On30 rail bus – again this was waiting for a replacement from the US spares…

Sound in my HO Comet – it took several months to sort out which sound was best.

FSM Pile Driver – this was actually finished but has always bugged me. George designed it with a backwoods feel but I am modelling a New England port which has cold winters. My bug bear is the open sides as none of the prototype photos of the New York waterfronts have anything similar. I think I will end up redoing the sides. I never added most of the clutter as the pile driver is moored up.

Schmidtchens – I’m nearly done but need to put in some LEDs for background lighting and just couldn’t be bothered to solder them in so I started the Stryker instead.

Forleys Lithographer – a Fos scale background building which I’ve painted but need to build.

My On30 modules – the benchwork is done but I have been uncertain about the track plan. I had a long chat with a friend last week so have crystallised some thoughts. Instead of having multiple modules I will have one long wavy module with a meandering track plan, one siding into a hi-rail workshop.

Layout curtains – my Mum is a saint for putting up with my black cotton material in the middle of her hall for quite a few months. The material is for curtains to cover the clutter under the layout. I need to hem it but have already put the curtain wire up. Each one is a different size so it will take a while.

I guess I could do with tidying the kitchen too…
