Train Show

Today was the train show.

It’s about the same size as Warley and great because I now know so many people. It is different because there aren’t any real exhibition layouts as we know them but lads of modular club layouts. The most popular ones were Lego!

This layout had the most crowds….

Most Popular Layout!

Of kids.

I wandered around and soon met Pete Magoun who used to live in New England and pointed me in the right direction as to what trucks etc I should be getting.

I met some great guys: Graham Hubbard (Bachmann UK), Bob Phelps (Peco UK), Art Fahie (Bar Mills), Mike Tylick, Tony Koester and Dvaid Popp (Kalmbach), Clare (Sylvan Models), Clark Koonig and Tim Warris (Fast Tracks), Jim Sacco (City Classics) and all the NMRA guys (again).

This is the NMRA stand which signed up over 100 new members today. Woohoo!

This cool N-scale modular layout has a clear upper storage yard so that they can see the second storage yard underneath.

I did succumb to a few bargains but have spent enough so not too bad…

I’ve been working out all the places I have eaten: Starbucks, Chick-Fil-A, Tosca Blu, Waffle House, Cracker Barrel, the Cheesecake Factory, El Rio Mexican, Swallow in the Hollow, Dunkin Donuts, Stoney River, the Varsity, sports bar… I’m sure I’ve missed a few but so many calories…
