Grass

As the new year approaches, I thought that I should do a couple of updates on what I have been up to on my week off.

I did some more scenery on the steam servicing yard. Gordon Gravett has written an excellent book on modelling grassland which is well worth reading.

I use diluted white glue which allows the grass to fall a little.

Ingredients

Dilute glue spots

I used my Noch grassmaster to drop the grass – a mix of several different lengths and colours.

Then I hoovered up the loose grass using a pair of tights over the end of the hoover.

Then I allowed it to dry a bit more and hovered a bit more. The hoovering pulls the grass upright a bit more.

The grass I laid was lighter than the original so I airbrushed it all a bit the same colour. I need to do it a bit more.
