Tuesday 11th February

Having gotten up at 5am for a 9am flight. I arrived at Kansas City at 5pm (but 6 hours behind) having had two excellent flights via Newark and stunning views of snow covered countryside.

Joel Priest met me at the airport with his Dad, Stephen. The Priests have kindly had me to stay for a few days either side of the NMRA half year business meeting.

I had a lovely (huge) room with Cinthia’s scrapbooking station in it:

The view from the window shows how much snow there is:

You don’t really notice the cold as the cars have a lovely garage. Big difference from my car with scraping frost in the morning!

You can see loads of deer and a real variety of birds and squirrels from the Priests’ house.

Tuesday is Stephen’s railroad working night so he had a lot of guys around working on his layout. I screwed a few nails in to some bench work to help But mostly lent on road bed to keep it level. Hard work.

Early night at 9pm (or 3am in my time zone!)
