After an early start I finally got to see some layouts!
Fellow travellers waiting:
The South East tour went to the following layouts:
Layout Owner Railroad Scale Era
Frank Feko Southern Ohio & Michigan RR HO Fall 1955
Art Bumpus B&O – Sprice Creek Division HO Late 1930’s
Bryan Harko NKP / WLE O / On30
Don Stettin The Danbury, Elton & Litton HO
Unfortunately we only got a few minutes in each of them but there were some exquisite bridges:
Afterwards I ran straight off to meet Charlie and Margaret Getz for a self-guided layout tour. I did go back to Art’s but it was worth it!
Layout Owner Railroad Scale City
Art Bumpus B&O RR – Spruce Creek Division HO Broadview Hts
Bruce Brintnall Memphis Ridge Lines HO Cleveland
Tom McInerney ElK River Logging RR & The Snug Harbor RR HO/HOn3 Lakewood
More beautiful layouts!
We then went up to Cleveland’s millionaires’ row where there is a hobby shop in an amazing house. We got a tour of the house and I managed to buy something, of course.
Afterwards I went round the National Train Show as it was being set up. It is really interesting to see it being set up.
I grabbed a quick bite to eat before catching two excellent clinics – my first of the Convention.
They finished at 10:30 so back to the bar afterwards.
