Whilst I was in Atlanta, Joe Gelmini, another NMRA Director, arranged a couple of excellent layout tours and the first was to George Bloodworth’s L&K Railroad. It’s a lovely layout and George is a gifted modeller.
As you come in, you are greeted with a stunning cliff scene.

There’s a lovely river at the bottom which runs into the rest of the layout

There’s a little town.

Which runs into a larger city.

There’s street which runs uphill and is a great feature. The traffic lights sequence.

Around the corner is a station with a raised concourse.

Further round was a bijou under the arches scene…

Including a Luv shack.

And here’s George:

George’s layout is open annually on the Piedmont Pilgrimage. You can find out more, including a video, here.
