Next up, was a visit to the NMRA HQ.
First was a quick visit to the old HQ in Cromwell, Chattanooga. This is the Tennessee Valley Railroad:

This is the old HQ.

On the way to the new HQ:

We got lost but did see a train, almost, through the weeds. This is actually McDonald’s car park where we trying to use the wifi to find out the new HQ’s location.

The new HQ is suited to the current needs. The library is there until it moves to the California State Railroad Museum.

We were there so Clark could sort a few things in his crate.

This is the old HQ sign.

The HQ also holds a number of layouts, some of which are destined for the Gallery Exhibit by the NMRA planned for the California State Railroad Museum.

Books

This is a wonderful snow crash diorama.

And of course, there’s a lot of books!

Thanks for posting these photos! I’ve never seen either HQ building in person. I didn’t realize KML was on shelves in the new place!
Hi Gerry, it was fun to see everything. We have an amazing collection! Kathy
