NMRA National Convention 2022
Every year the NMRA has a National Convention which is a week of railroad modelling fun. This year’s took place in Indianapolis.
The convention runs from Sunday through Friday and includes:
- Layout tours in homes and clubs
- Prototype tours to railroads or facilities such as Amtrak’s Beech Grove shops
- General Interest tours such as to the Indiana Speedway
- Clinics on every topic under the sun relating to railroads and modelling
- Modelling with the Masters – hands on clinics allowing you to learn or improve on new techniques
- Silent Auction and Company Store – your chance to bid on or buy goodies
- Awards Banquet – good food whilst giving out the NMRA annual awards
The biggest draw for me is the friends that I have made and the chance to catch up with them and make new friends, all with a common interest in model railroading.
If it sounds fun then come along next year to Orlando.
