How to Add the Finishing Touches to a Model Building
After an epic 13 weeks of detailing the scale house, we are nearly there. Now we just need to bed it in and add a few final finishing touches:
- Debris
- Grass
- Slime
- Pigments
All of these help tie the buildings into their bases and the surrounding landscape. Obviously, where the building is situated will make a huge difference. A wooden shack in a grassy field will have more grass! It’s also important to make this last layer of detail tie in to the building so that it doesn’t stand out. The idea is to add detail so that the eye thinks that the model is real so nothing too jarring is needed on this last stage.
