Photo of the Week – Llangollen Steam III

This is part of a series of photos I took in Llangollen on a day trip there. This is an LMS Stanier Class 5 4-6-0 4806 named Kenneth Aldcroft.

In July 2013, the locomotive was offered for sale, and has been purchased by the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. At the NYMR, it is destined to be certified to run to Whitby after its overhaul in 2017.

Great pics Kathy… I posted a few to my Pinterest “British RR’board. When I get to visit England again Ill have to get to North Yorkshire moors!
