Photo of the Week – City Canyons I
Hong Kong is a city of tall skyscrapers, busy streets and a multitude of people living at every level in between. Every inch of space seems to be used with the ever familiar air conditioners plastering the sides of the older tower blocks. Signs and neon are everywhere.
Amongst it all, someone has managed to plant a verdant roof garden which goes to show that you can bring nature with you into any situation.
For the few times I was in HK I was always amazed at the density of the neighborhoods. The size of the apartment dwellings outside the city are enormous… Cities in themselves. And the external plumbing is a hoot… Like it was an after thought….
The plumbing probably was! They are entire communities.
