Photo of the Week – City Bridges
I love big cities with tall buildings that dwarf people are cars. They are a testament to man’s desire to build and to build big. I love great architecture and this bridge fascinates me. It joins two buildings allowing people to pass and cars to remain in their place, below.
I’m walking along the High Line here, an elevated park built on an old railway track. It runs through the meat packing district of New York and gives you a bird’s eye view of the city streets. Even then, you are nowhere near the tops of the buildings.
Recognized it at once! Chelsea Market from the High Line! Lovely pic of one of my favorite places on earth!
They’ve opened up more of the High Line so I’d love to go back and walk the rest of it.
I just love this line!
