I’ve just got back from the British Region Convention in Derby. It was another great show and I took loads of photos as normal. I was using the iPhone Lightroom app to give it a whirl and quite a few of the photos were blurry. Not sure why but I’ll stick with the native camera next time.
Anyway, here’s a few of the photos:
Great job Kathy. One thing I’m curious about is that all the scenes and rolling stock are American, no British stuff. Is that just a coincidence?
No, the NMRA in the UK is a specialist North American modelling society only. If people want to model British then they wouldn’t belong to the NMRA but to one of the countless other societies concentrating on that.

To much “N” again! The show not the photos.
There was certainly a lot of N but other scales too.
I really enjoyed the show, even though I only went on Saturday. I saw models in most scales from 0 to N and found none of them boring, the standard of work being very good in my opinion. I exercised great restraint and only bought a few bits even though some of the trade stands were like Aladdin’s cave!
My friends from the Black Diamonds staged a super show once more and the venue with its railway history (even though it was the dreaded LMS) is excellent.
You were very restrained and I’m glad you enjoyed what was an excellent show.

Great Photo’s Kathy, Thank you, and a Happy New Year
Happy New Year to you too!
