The End of an era – Ripping out my New Haven layout

The End of an era – Ripping out my New Haven layout

After 13 years, I am ripping out my New Haven Model Railroad layout. It’s been quite a journey from the decision to the bin but there is so much more to come.

I am often asked how my New Haven railroad is coming along and the sad truth is that is not. It’s too big and just too much of the same again and again and again to interest me. I like trying new things, new techniques and challenging myself. A large layout is not the place to do this when you want to try explosions, underwater scenes and lava!

It’s not the end of the model railways though. My Port Dinorwic layout is being built and you can check the livestream out here:

If you want to reminisce then the old build blogs are here: New Haven

Thank you for following along on that journey but there is so much more to come!
