How to Model a Miniature Winter Diorama

How to Model a Miniature Winter Diorama

Over the next couple of videos, I’m testing out a number of snow products that I’ve picked up over the years.  To do that, I need some base dioramas.  I eventually built 12 similar dioramas, half in O and half in HO/OO as the different scales may need different methods.

The Amazon links are all items I have either bought or bought something similar for myself. Clicking on any links to Amazon will give me a small affiliate income which I use to produce more videos. Every little helps!

  1. Looking good Kathy, can’t wait to see what you get done on them.
You are correct, not a long enough dry time, reason of the white left over.
    Cheers

  2. They look great! Doing them in different scales at the same time is interesting. Apart from the obvious things (shorter grass, sticks) what sort of things have to change when you go to smaller scales? How do colours and weathering layers change?

Thanks for putting in all the links again, but the link to the super glue kicker goes to a spray can and you used something with a syringe applicator?

  3. Looking forward to seeing what you do with these! 🙂
One tip I’ve seen (from the Terrain Tutor if I remember right) was to buy double wrap security wire instead of the army painter stuff. It’s exactly the same but comes in 100m reels. Normally it’s more expensive but the price above is slightly eye watering!
